Dachshund Update from Madison!

Well, it took us a while to do our first post, but we've got lots to share! I just finished reading all of your posts (Looks like SO much fun!) and I updated all the pups on your adventure. (If any of the four of them were awake now, I'm sure they'd send their love and kisses!) But they're tuckered out from a busy week.

They stayed at my house until Weds and then Beth picked up Alfie and Yahtzee to stay with them while I was out of town for work and Mabel and Franny went to their doggy daycare & kennel. At the Goeddel's, they got to walk Lucy and Violet to the bus for the last day of school! And they got Beth up both mornings around 5am with the sun. It's not their fault, it's that time of year when the sun is up bright and early! (At my house, they sleep in my bed and I've got them sleeping in until close to 7am during the week and almost 8:30am today. Because I don't mess around with 5am, sun or no sun.)

Franny has been showing Yahtzee just how awesome her toys are and sharing very nicely. Mabel seems to enjoy being the big girl and letting everyone jump around on her and snuggle up to her. Alfie is looking mighty fine after a long soak with the special shampoo for her dry skin. No more flakes and silky smooth! She's up and down the stairs with the occasional lift from me if she's tired.

The Goeddels are pulling their weight with doggy duty, which is great since they're hopefully getting their own pup very soon! They'll be by tomorrow to get the dachs for a couple days early in the week. My landlord is coming by on Monday and probably best if I don't have the full gaggle here. Not that they're not perfect ladies, because they are. But it IS a lot of dog if you're not expecting it.

Alf and Yahtz miss Mom and Dad, I'm sure, but they're happy, healthy and plenty busy with playtime and naps!
